Hillary's Replacement

After Caroline Kennedy mysteriously dropped out of the race to become Hillary Clinton's filler (since she is now MADAME SECRETARY) the state of New York has appointed her replacement today. U.S. senator Kirsten Gillibrand. I dont know much about her yet - but I do know she is very gay friendly. She told the states LGBT rights leaders that she "supports same-sex marriage, and full marriage rights for everyone American." - This is a change, a few years ago she only supported civil unions. The gay rights leaders have released this statement after meeting with the new Senator:

“After talking to Kirsten Gillibrand, I am very happy to say that New York is poised to have a U.S. Senator who supports marriage equality for same-sex couples. She also supports the full repeal of the federal DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) law, repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT) and passage of legislation outlawing discrimination against transgender people. While we had a productive discussion about a whole range of LGBT concerns, I was particularly happy to hear where she stands on these issues.”

GOOD FOR HER
stick to it!
