Adding ticket, album, and download sales to figure which music acts were the year's most popular in the world, Madonna KILLED the competition, placing over 100 million higher than second place. And even in the shit eceonomy she was charging BIG bucks for hour tour - and it continued to sell out. Add that to a number 1 album, and 4 number 1 singles so far (on the billboard top singles, and the dance charts), she killed the competition. You go girl!
