Reverand James Dobson (aka the next in line after the horrific Jerry Falwell died) is stepping up to the pulpit to bash Obama. He says that Obama has a "fruitcake interpretation" of the Bible. What that means I'll never know.
One of the statements Obama made that has made this asshole get all up-tight was: "Even if we did have only Christians in our midst, if we expelled every non-Christian from the United States of America, whose Christianity would we teach in the schools? Would we go with James Dobson's or Al Sharpton's?" Dobson responded saying he is "dragging the bible through the gutter". HOW?! And more importantly WHO THE F*CK CARES?!! This has NOTHING to do with politics ... come on. Why are we even teaching Christianity in schools?????? Thats for the church!!!! This is ridiculous. Just as when that preacher ranted on Hillary at his church -- thats hate speaking in church. Bashing someone in the "Lords house" .. why? Thats not the place for that kind of talk, that kind of talk is better served at the bar that that entire congregation probably goes to after the service is over. This is all ridiculous. I DONT GIVE A F*CK WHAT SOME PREACHER SAYS OR HAS SAID OR WHO INTERPRETS THE BIBLE WHICH WAY - THAT IS NOT GONNA SWAY MY VOTE BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. I am sick of this religious talk - honestly.

I'm not voting for their religious views...we are voting for a leader. He doesn't even have to fight for my rights as a gay man ... he doesn't even have to like it ... but he should give me the option of doing what I want to do with my life...with whomever i choose. Although we don't want religion to be a part of politics, it always will be. It sucks...but it's the truth. As long as schools still demand that students say the pledge of allegience and prayer in school is ok, then gay men and women will have limited rights. California is progress...but i think it's just a way for alot of other states to not have to concede to gay rights. Just move all of us to Cali and be done with it...right?
