It's (still) alive!

The 9th Annual Broadway Audience Awards have been handed out. I feel that maybe these are the MTV movie awards of Broadway - maybe not. But Mel Brook's Young Frankenstein musical swept almost every catagory. It was almost completely snubbed from the Tonys, which was strange since Mel's last musical "The Producer" has the most Tony's ever. The critics were split on the show - but it however has sold well (even though tickets go up to 450). I was intruiged and listened to the score - and actually LOVED IT! I really wanna see the musical now, and am glad it got its dues here from the audience, which in the end, is what really matters.
