The Bond Girls

So a story I've been following for a long time is the on-going saga of who will be singing the title track for the new James Bond film "Quantam Solace". Its been a dramatic road all along, here's the story thus far:

* Three months ago it was released that Amy Winehouse was hired to write and perform the title track. It would be produced by Marc Ronson (who produced her super amazing album Back to Black). -- This was the best day of my life.

* A month later Winehouse was in drug trouble (you remember that video of her smoking crack?) and there were talks from her record label that they would not allow her to release a new album until she cleaned up. However she told reporters she was working on the new Bond theme.

* Weeks later Beyonce stuck her head into the mix, thinking that perhaps she could win an Oscar this way (for best song, coz we all know she will never act her away to any award other than a Razzie). She showed interest in the performing the song for the Bond movie .. the song that Amy wrote of course, because Beyonce writes nothing.

* Apparently the legal woes and the interest from Miss Piggy (aka miss knowles) worried both the movie producers and Marc Ronson himself. The movie is almost ready for production and needs a song, so Amy was dropped. Beyonce wasn't hired.

* Week later Amy tells reporters she has written 4 different Bond themes, and just needs to get in the recording booth. She says they are very "dramatic" and "fitting" (you know they are!)

* With Beyonces phone not ringing (as usual) the producers hired Amy back, only to put her on the back burner after the horrendous drugged performance last week in Rio. Now the new "sensation" (i say that lightly - I mean she has one album, 1 hit song... hmmm) Leona Lewis has approached the project saying she wants to sing the title track.

So what will happen? Who knows?
All I know is that Amy has the perfect voice for it - and she writes the songs herself.
She's my choice (duh)
Whats yours?
