Career Suicide

As if there wasn't enough career suicide going around, someone who seems somewhat stable Katherine Heigl from tv's Grays Anatomy is throwing her career down the shitter. The story as I see it is, she has wanted to get off the show for a while. However last year she won an Emmy for best supporting actress in a drama, along with other awards. (Might I add I do not watch this show .. nor will I. Tara loves this show with all of her being, I personally dont think its my cup of tea .. but the drama surrounding it is fun) Then she decided to pull a movie career out of thin air, and to an extent it worked. The 27 dresses or whatever it was, was a rom-com hit. And we all know Breaking Up was a hit (even though she went on air and in print trashing the movie saying it was negative against women and she didn't like it). Now why would you ever trash a movie of which you signed on too after reading the script, that is a huge hit?! Makes no sense. Now she has dumbfounded everyone by withdrawing her own name from the Emmy nomination list. The reason? Because she feels the writers have not given her good enough material to be nominated. SLAM! The writers have responded that they love Katherine so much that they allowed her to reschedule all of her shoots so that she could focus on her movie career alongside the television career, and they are saddened with the news that she has been dumping on them when they went out of their way for her. If you want off the show Kat, then just quit, don't slam the writers. And I am sorry if anyone ever nominated me for an Emmy (i dont care if i wasn't even in the show and it was a typo) I would graciously accept. Call me weird.
Not to be outdone, Lindsay Lohan has also decided to throw her dwindling career down the hole as well. After being fired from her last filmed she was attached too "The Manson Girls" (about the crazy psychotic killer gals that worshiped Charles Manson) she did a cameo on Ugly Betty. And now Lohan has "respectfully" withdrawn her name for an Emmy as well. Thats so thankful of you Lindsay, thank you for allowing other people to be nominated. We wont mention that your role was only in one episode. For one scene. You had 3 lines. One line being "hello". You were on screen for 32 seconds. Yeah. Sounds Emmy worthy to me.

wow shouldn't any actor know that if they ever want to be able to do good material again (esp on tv) then they need to be nice to the fucking writers?? i remember seeing a pic of marg helgenburger handing out snacks or something to writers back when they were on strike and picketing and i remember thinking that she was brilliant for doing so.
