Amy Winehouse's father Mitch is having a tough time lately. I think he seems to be a great father. He is supportive of his daughter, and has constantly been fighting to get her healthy. He has been trying to get her to go (and stay) in rehab for 2 years now. He stayed by her side in the hospital for 2 weeks as she was diagnosed with emphysema. He has pleaded with Amy, even publicly, to save herself. And its all seeming to take a toll on him, he collapsed yesterday from exhaustion. A family friend has said: "He isn't well. He has been taking a lot on and has been dedicating himself to trying to improve Amy's health. But his own health has suffered as a result. He has been having stress-related panic attacks and collapsed at home last week." Mitch released a statement simply saying: "I am awaiting the results of tests. I'm going away for a few days and we will see what happens after that. I will remain to put my daughter first, as any parent would do."
