Daily Amy: A reunion scare

People on both sides are scared to death for the probable reunion of Amy Winehouse and her husband Blake. This weekend, both of Amy's parents, and Blakes mother, suggested the two stay away from each other to save each others lives. Blake will be sentenced tomorrow, and could be out as early as next week. Georgette Civil, Blakes mother, has been quoted as saying she is "dreading the reunion. It could be a death wish for the both of them." She also went as far as saying: "Blake thinks he's going to be Amy's saviour and has every intention to try to stop the drugs. But Amy is completely unstable. Blake is a recovering addict and he's not strong enough to resist the temptation. If they are reunited I know they will be back on drugs within days. The dealers will swarm round Blake and Amy. They are meal tickets for the dealers. Then the police will get called, Blake will be arrested and sent back to prison, and Amy will die. I also fear that if Blake and Amy lock themselves in a hotel room there is a real danger they will take a drugs overdose." She has promised to hand a note to the judge at tomorrows sentencing which will beg that he be turned over into her custody and not allowed to be reunited with Amy. "I know very well that she could kill me over this. I know if he goes home with me instead of Amy, she will go berserk. What she needs is tough love. Amy should get herself back into rehab and stay there as long as is necessary to get her off drugs. She needs to prove that she loves him enough to stop. Then, once they are both drugs-free, they can have a real future together."

That all sounds well and good, but the Winehouse camp, including her parents, her band, and her friends, have all claimed that the drug use all began with Blake. "He introduced my daughter to drugs. He is just as responcible for her drug use as she is." - Amy's father said months ago. Her mother noteably wrote a long letter to Amy, which was leaked to the press, begging her leave Blake and stop the drugs. She hinted in the letter that Blake was a bad influence for not only introducing her to drugs, but to feeding her habit.

Blake has apparently reached out to Amy's father, calling him from prison, begging him the right to be with his wife when he is released. He promised to keep her off drugs and help save her life. "I want to be a good husband" - he was quoted as saying.

I see all this as trouble. They are BOTH responsible for the drug use. I think both are in serious trouble. The only thing I see working is if they both enter Rehab together, and dont leave until they are treated. Then they can live happily together, which in the end is what I think they both want. As tough as its gonna be - I wish them luck. It is obvious they are truly madly in love.
