At the finale of the horrific Republican National Convention, when Sarah Palin and Father Time walked onto the stage for the last time - the Heart song Barracuda was played as Palin took center stage. It appears her highschool nickname was Sarah Barracuda. (Much better than her new nickname - Dumbass). Anyhow, Heart was none too pleased.
"Sarah Palin's views and values in NO WAY represent us as American women. 'Barracuda' was written in the late '70s as a scathing rant against the soulless, corporate nature of the music business, particularly for women." Says both Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart. They have demanded the song be pulled from use at any Palin/McCain function.
This isn't the first time this has happened to the Republican party this year. Just months ago, Jackson Browne sued McCain for using his "Running on Empty" song in an ad bashing Barack Obama.
