Its not ALL bad news for Amy Winehouse this weekend. Here are 3 good news stories, which I am so happy to report!
* Amy was just nominated for 6 Q awards (Scotlands Grammys). She was nominated for: Best Female Artist, Best Live Act, Best Song (for Valerie), Best Songwriter, Best Soul Artist, and Best Artist of the Year!! She recieved the most nominations. Madonna, Kanye West, Coldplay, and the Keiser Chiefs all recieved 5.
* Over 2 years since the release of Back to Black, it still remains Universals top selling album currently. It is also the top selling album so far this year in England and for Universal worldwide. In England it topped Lil Wayne (which topped the US charts for 4 weeks), Duffy, Madonna, Adele, and Kylie Minogue - even though its been out for 2 years. She has staying power.
* Amy is studying Buddhism and chanting to help cure her addiction. This is noteable because this is what Courtney Love has credited to getting her off drugs. I mean, as long as she is trying other things, at least she is trying something. And thats good news.
