Amy Winehouse's ongoing personal problems are set to become the subject of a university degree. A textbook about Amy Winehouse's career will form part of the music course at the University of the West of Scotland. Winehouse's record label, Island, are providing teaching materials for the degree-level course. "Amy Winehouse is a great example of the potential pitfalls in the music industry,” course leader Allan Dumbreck told the Times newspaper. "She is recognized as a multi-award-winning great artist. But the by-product of that lifestyle can be stress and illness. We will look at how the industry is often not a supporter of longevity.”
