Tilda on CD!

Patrick Wolf (who sings the irresistable "Magic Position") has recruited Academy Award winning actress (and my fav) Tilda Swinton for collaborations on his next cd! Tilda will be credited on the cd as: The Voice of Hope. She will appear on 4 songs. Providing narration, raps, and singing her own vocals. Yes, you read it right. Tilda rapping. Tilda is a huge fan of Patrick Wolf's and had this to say about him:

"[We are] kith and kin. My feeling is that we almost certainly come from the same planet. His music feels like the unexpressed soundtrack of a great film I want to see - and try to catch every night before I go to sleep."

Patrick Wolf was a huge Tilda fan, and met her at an AIDS charity event and slipped her a burnt cd of rough material for his new album and a handwritten note. Tilda called him back in 2 days and said yes.

The rumored title for the forthcoming album is: Bloody Chamber Music

Tilda mistaken for a man

In a recent interview the amazing Tilda Swinton says she often gets mistaken for a man. Hilarious .. i looove her. Here is the excerpt:

"I am out with my two sons (11 year old twins Xavier and Honor) and people think I am their father. In American hotels especially I get called sir all the time. Its fine though because I am relatively tall, I don't wear makeup, and I often wear my hear short. My son Honor wears his hair long, and we're often called father and daughter. I like being a man though. It's fun. Often there are poetic and creative moments in androgyny. Thats me."

You know what I say Tilda? Hot one way or another.

Mr. Tilda Swinton

This goes down in history as the BEST interview ever:

Tilda Swinton interviewed by: Newsweek

Newsweek: One of your fans writes about you online, "This dude is my favorite actor."
Tilda Swinton: Really? It's a very nice compliment to be called a dude.

N:Is it true you don't like wearing makeup?
T: Well, I mean, I love wearing makeup. But if you want to look like yourself, it's not such a good plan. You end up looking like someone else.

N: Are you wearing makeup now?
T: Right now? Not a stitch. I'm not actually wearing any clothes right now. The man who's driving the car is enjoying this very much. No, he's enjoying the joke. There isn't time. Think how much time it takes people to get made up.

N: I wouldn't know. I'm a guy.
T: Well, so am I, then. And there are people who think I am.

N: Where's your Oscar?
T: I gave it away to my agent.

N: Did you even keep it for a night?
T: I took it to Scotland, as some kind of proof mechanism, and everybody got bored with it after four or five hours.

N: Why?
T: Believe it or not, I feel it's almost sacrilegious to say this, it really doesn't mean that much to people where I live. In my house, they don't even recognize the shape of it. We don't even have a television. They were kind of intrigued with it, like they'd be intrigued if you had come in with a cucumber and put it on the table, and say, "This is interesting."

N: What are the Coens like?
T: They completely rock. They have this very strange system of being able to laugh during takes. I've never met filmmakers who had the license, or the agreement with the sound guy, to guffaw during takes.

N: Does it interrupt you?
T: No. The only thing is, if they don't laugh, you feel bad.

N: Every woman in America will be jealous of you for jumping into bed with George Clooney.
T: And he shows his nipples again for the first time since his dreadful Batman film. Well those were horrific rubber nipples, and these are the real thing.

N: Did you see more than that?
T: More than his nipples? That's definitely a "no comment."

The largest love triangle

Okay I hope I can get this straight. Tilda Swinton, Oscar winner last year, is married. She is married to John Byrne, a 67 year old artist and director. The couple has a pair of 10 year old twin boys. However she also is in a relationship with Sandro Kopp, a 29 year old painter. Her husband is aware and completely happy that she has the other relationship, rumor has it he even encouraged it.

At the Oscars this year Tilda was seated next to her boytoy (Kopp) and her husband was at home taking care of the kids.

Now her husband, Byrne, has had an on-going relationship with Jeanine Davis, a lighting designer. This relationship has lasted for over 5 years, and Tilda of course approves.

Oddly enough they are all friendly with one another and sit down and have dinner together regularly. Husband and wife, wifes boyfriend, husbands girlfriend, 2 sons.

I love Tilda - but this is just PLAIN WEIRD! I dont get the sharing thing, my man is all mine, and everybody else better step off. But you go Tilda, have fun.

The Year of Tilda

Unless you've been living under a rock (or you dont know me) then you know how much I love Tilda Swinton. Shes the indie film queen that most people probably know as The White Witch in the Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe. Or perhaps from her OSCAR WIN last year for her villanous portrayal of Karen Crowder in Michael Clayton (which was an amazing film). Well I am proud to announce that a quick dip into IMDB.com shows that this year may yet again be the year of Tilda. (thats what I am calling it at least ... well Tilda and Angelina because she has wanted coming out and a movie directed by Clint Eastwood called The Exchange that she is going to win/be nominated for an oscar for) But lets put all that on hold and take a peek at where we can see Tilda this year:

* You can catch Tilda now in a quick cameo performance in the second C.S. Lewis Narnia film "Prince Caspian" reprising her role of the White Witch. (havent seen it yet but people say her 5 minute scene is one of the most exciting of the film)

* She stars as the title character in the new film Julia. The film is about a woman who tries to extort money using a young boy as bait. Looks like shes a baddie here too. Thats how I like her best!

* She shares billing above the title with such actors as George Cloony (again), Brad Pitt, Frances McDormand, John Malkovitch, and J.K. Simmons in the new Cohen brothers film: Burn After Reading. Wow, what a cast - last year Tilda and the Cohens won (best supp. actress and directors) and George was nominated. Add onto that winners Frances M and John M, sounds awesome. Its about: A disk containing the memoirs of a CIA agent ends up in the hands of two unscrupulous gym employees who attempt to sell it. - Sounds to be a comedy - and looks it from the magnificent trailer: http://www.movie-list.com/trailers.php?id=burnafterreading

* Next she shares billing with more amazing co-stars and a great director. She stars alongside Brad Pitt (again), Cate Blanchett, Julia Ormand, and Elle Fanning (Dakota's lil sis) in The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons directed by David Fincher. It tells the story of Benjamin Button, a man who starts aging backwards with bizarre consequences, and is based on an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel. There is much oscar buzz surrounding the film. You can see the trailer here: http://www.moviestrailer.org/the-curious-case-of-benjamin-button-movie-trailer.html

* Next she stars in the new Jim Jarmusch film (director of Broken Flowers, which she also starred in) The Limits of Control. She stars in this with Bill Murray, John Hurt, and Gael Garcia Bernal. It is listed as a crime/drama/thriller and not much in way of a plot synopsis has been released.

* Next shes seen in Come Like Shadows - a new interpretation of Macbeth. With Tilda playing perhaps one of the most challenging roles a woman could play: Lady Macbeth. Sean Bean will be Macbeth.

* Next she puts on her foreign hat and will be seen in Io sono l'amore - a french film by director Luca Guadagnino. A romantic drama in which a foreign society matron in Milan falls for a young chef, this sounds different from a typical Tilda project.

* And lastly, and most exciting, catch Tilda in Phantasmagoria: The Visions of Lewis Carrol. Co-starring and directed by Marilyn Manson! You can only imagine how crazy this is going to be. And what role will Tilda play? None other than the Queen of Hearts! This is going to be awesome!

So this year, take some time out to enjoy Tilda Swinton!
TILDA TILDA TILDA!
