Katy Perry robbed of award .. literally

This weekend Katy Perry won big at France's NRJ Music Awards by recieving the biggest award of the night .. Best International song of the year for "I Kissed a Girl". However .. come back from commercial break, after she gave her speech, they announced there had been a mistake and that Katy Perry actually lost. Rhianna was the winner for her song "Dusturbia". So they took Katy's trophy away. OUCH!

On Again!

Proving me wrong again, Katy Perry turned in an impressive live version of her awesome new single "Hot N Cold" on some show no one watches. Its very good. She has gotten soo much better live. Enjoy!

Katy Perry redeemed herself from her disastrous performance at the MTV awards last month by blowing me away with her live version of I Kissed a Girl at the VMA Latino awards last night. I won't give away what happens at the end of this performance ... but its well worth a watch!! AND she sounds good too. Good for you Katy Perry.

How to Burn in Hell

It appears not everyone is in on Katy Perry's summer smash "I Kissed a Girl". The song sat at #1 for 6 weeks in a row! But a church in Ohio posted a huge billboard on their front lawn. It read: I KISSED A GIRL .. AND THEN I WENT TO HELL.

Katy Perry, singer of the #1 song in America for the 5th straight week, has said her dream is to go out on a date with Madonna. Well Madonna, who has said months ago that Katy Perry is her favorite artist of the moment, has taken it a step further. She has invited Katy to play with her in a London concert date - and on top of that she will take her out to dinner. HOT HOT!

There's a battle brewing between 2 pop sensations. Miley Cyrus Vs. Katy Perry! Here's what went down.

Katy Perry (jokingly) suggested to an interviewer that she would be reinacting the famous Madonna/Britney kiss during her performance at the MTV Music Video awards - with Miley kissing her.

Well Miley didn't find the humor. She responded with: "Uhm no thanks! She sang on my record, you know only doing harmonies and backgrounds. Not its like she's trying to get back at me."

Well Katy took it to another level by responding, via perezhilton, with: "6 weeks at number 1 Miley. 6 weeks." BAM! That of course is talking about her rocking single "I Kissed a Girl" which has sat at the top of billboards song charts. Miley's newest single debuted low and is dropping off slowly.

However if you wanna play it fair, Miley's album was released last week and sits atop the charts at the number 1 spot - and its the highest debuting album of the year for a female artist. Ouch.

I Kissed a Girl

One of my new favorite artists, Katy Perry, is having some major success on the US charts. She had a hit myspace single not too long ago Ur So Gay (which is wonderful and you should youtube the hillarious video). Her album "One of the Boys" has been released, and honestly theres not a weak song to be found on it. It was released to high sales, and landed at number 9 on the billboard charts. The big news however is her new single "I Kissed a Girl" just dethroned Coldplay's Viva La Vida as the number one song in America. Both songs are great, I couldnt compare the two - however congrats go to Katy. You should all check her out if you have a hot minute.
