Angelina triumphs at NY film festival

Angelina Jolie (accompanied by Brad Pitt) arrived at the New York film festival this weekend for the US premiere of her new movie "Changeling" directed by Clint Eastwood. First of all, she looked AMAZING! She seemingly has lost all of her baby weight from her new twins. And she sported new additions to her arm tattoo seen above, which has the coordinated of the birth places of all of her children. More importantly the film ended in a standing ovation and critical acclaim for Jolie's performance. I smell Oscar!!

McCain in trouble

Since both the presidential and vice presidential debates the Obama/Biden campaign has been riding high. Obama now sees a higher leader over McCain than he had over Hillary Clinton in the narrow fight for the nomination. The best news for the campaign is in Ohio (the state which many thought early on may decide the election) Obama has an 8 point lead over McCain. And in the 9 swing states, Obama has a substantial lead in 7 of those states. I cannot wait for election day - lets hope that these leads continue to grow. And lets watch McCain/Palin start getting really dirty as they grasp for straws as they slowly begin to lose.

Late but never too late

I know its been over a month since I told someone I would send them a shoutout on my blog. So I will do it now while I am sitting here at work at almost 8 oclock. The best news of the week: OJ Simpson guilty on ALL charges. 12 criminal charges in full including kidnapping, assault with a weapon, and others. He is waiting to be sentenced, but could face up to life in prison. We can only hope!! LET HIM ROT IN JAIL!

The news only gets worse for my girl Amy Winehouse. 4 days before Blake was to be released into his mothers care - prison officials reject the idea and he will remain in jail until December for his release. Blake's mother Georgette is furious and is seeking legal action against the prison officials. "Blake and Amy are devastated and I am livid," she told reporters. This all seems so crazy. Why would they ever offer Blake ways to get out - only to deny right before it happens. Never offer it in the first place I say. I hope he gets out soon, and can help Amy.

Daily Amy 3: Falling Apart

Amy Winehouse is afraid that her nose is going to fall off - according to reports. She has told a friend that her nose feels very weak and the bone feels like it is bending and could break at any moment. A close friend has repeatedly told her to visit a doctor about the problem to which Amy responded; "It is a problem. But it's my problem, so leave it alone."

Daily Amy 2: Suicide Attempt

Sources and friends close to Amy said things took a dramatic turn for the worse this weekend in her home. Friends have been around her 24/7 for the past week, claiming that she was on a suicide watch. Over the weekend, Amy (according to reports) grabbed a knife and held it to her chest saying "What is the point of living? I am caught in a nightmare." Luckily friends were there and were able to talk Amy out of harming herself .. and got the knife back. She is still under a suicide watch now.

Daily Amy 1: Scientology Calling

Amy Winehouse has reportedly given the Church Of Scientology a thought after she received a call from them, and she is considering turning to the controversial religion in a bid to straighten her life out.

"She had a call from the celebrity branch of the Church Of Scientology. She thinks they got her number through one of the American music producers who worked on her Back to Black album," News.com.au quoted a source as telling Britain's Sunday Mirror newspaper. "They told her they wanted to help her beat drugs and could tailor-make a program so she wouldn't have to go to a residential rehab center. She liked that idea because her husband Blake is out of prison soon and wouldn't want to be away from him when he's finally freed," the source added.

At this point - anything could be better than what it is now - even if its the CRAZY alien religion.

Some horrible woman named Gina Cobb runs a blog called the right wing news. And today she has posted 25 reasons to LOVE Sarah Palin. So, to honor her stupidity, I will post her list .. and then after each one I will tell you why she is wrong and why, yes, you should hate Sarah Palin.

Here's what I disagree with on this one Gina:
* If Sarah Palin was ugly, say she looked like Barbara Bush, do you think she would be as popular, or the choice of the party? I doubt it. She is attractive and "likeable" (to some), and I think that was just as central in the choice to pick her than anything else. Meaning that they picked an attractive woman with no experience over many other women more average looking, with better experience. And I am sorry, for VP you should pick the most experienced person to help get the job done.. not a woman because shes a woman.
* John McCain IS clearly out of touched. He has appointed a moron as his vice presidential choice.
* No one will say that every mother with troops out is against the war. I don't think anyone has said that. But the republicans don't seem to understand that some do feel that.

The VP Debate - my thoughts

So last night was the much hyped Vice Presidential debate. And, no shock to me, it was watched by 33% more people than the presidential debate. Why? Obviously because people want to tune in to watch Sarah Palin make a fool of herself. She is, reguardless of what side you stand on, the brunt of everyones jokes right now .. and rightfully so. The two took to the pulpit - and here were my thoughts on each.

JOE BIDEN
Is it just me, or is he a substantially better speaker than Obama? As an avid Hillary supporter, it has been hard for me to switch camps and jump on the Obama bandwagon. I have done that however, first because I just want a democrat to win, and secondly I tend to agree with him on 90% of the issues. However, I have yet to see him be a stellar speaker. He says good things, sure. But I am sometimes left less than excited after listening to him speak. And in the presidential debate last week, of which he did an okay job, he flubbed some of his best lines. (He was still leaps and bounds better than the nations great great grandfather McCain). However, Biden speaks clearly, passionately, and had me very engaged throughout the entire debate. He stayed with facts. Which is the best way to go. He attacked John McCain rather than Governor Palin (which strategically I guess was the better move, but I wanted him to rip her a new asshole). And more so important and shockingly, he appealed more with his personality and his personal stories than Palin, who's shtick seems to be "Gosh darn, I am just like all of you!" He teared up when talking about his family (his wife and 2 children died in a plane crash) and how he single handedly had to raise his surviving children. He told personal stories about his home town and friends and neighbors who are worried about the future of the economy, all without sounding like a fake or fraud. I think he won this debate hands down. I actually would rather see him debate McCain than Obama.

SARAH PALIN
Most of you who read this blog, know that I think Sarah Palin is a disgrace to politics - and maybe even the human race. However, I will say this. She didn't fail as much as I would have liked her to last night. That being said -- as long as she stood up straight and didnt drool or cry, I think most people would call it a victory for this woman. Afterall this is the same woman who couldnt think of a single Supreme Court decision (besides Roe V Wade of course, which she is against yet says she is a feminist). Also she couldn't name one single magazine or paper that she reads news in (both of these instances on her horrible series of interviews with Katie Couric). She was so low in people's eyes that the fact that she could even string together sentences make people congradulate her with praises of a job well done. Well I will not go that far. She was a disaster! Had it been any other politician - today they would be blasted left and right by the media. But because its Palin (maybe because shes a woman, or so naive, or so "sweet") people are cutting her slack. I won't. She answered about 30% of the questions given to her. She didn't even attempt to stay on topic the entire evening. She used the phrases 'hockey mom', 'joe six pack', 'gosh darnit', 'dog gone' right' and other idiotic sayings all evening. She seemed to once again rely on her "golly gee's" to get herself out of tough questions. She cited wrong facts left and right. An important question to ask is, are people letting her slide on this debate because she is a woman? I would say yes. Consider Hillary Clinton. She stormed through every debate in the primary season and was slammed by both republicans and anti-Hillary democrats. Now compare her performance to Palin's. Whereas people called Hillary evil they are calling Palin's work a "job well done". Im sorry. Hillary could mop the floor with her. Joe Biden did mop the floor with her. Hell, .... I could mop the floor with her.

Job NOT well done Sarah. John McCain and the republican party should be ashamed of you. But thank you for joining the ticket so that my candidate has a better shot.

Daily Amy: New Song!

Finally some news about Amy I am excited to report. Amy has been personally asked by Otis Redding to join other artists (including Mariah Carrey and Usher) on an Otis Redding tribute album. Otis met Amy at the Nelson Mandela birthday party bash, of which she was a performer. Quincy Jones is one of the best known producers in the music industry, as well as performers. He has produced hits for Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, and Ella Fitzgerald. He also has many hit songs, including Love Man - which was in the Dirty Dancing soundtrack - and rumor has it is the song that Amy asked to cover. Otis said about Amy: "She is the only new artist that has me excited about music again. I would produce anything the woman sings. She is a genius."

Even more exciting.. Mark Ronson approached Amy and asked if he could collaborate with her on the production of the song. And she agreed. The two are in good graces again after a fallout when the two recorded a version of the new James Bond song. Drama unfolded when Mark believed that Amy's addiction was getting in the way of them finishing a polished song. He apparently is over that and wants to work with Amy again, telling reporters: "I miss her. I am too excited about this collaboration to let anything else cloud my mind. I love Amy."

Kurt Cobain's ashes were stolen from Courtney Love's property in May of this year. Courtney was so distressed and told reporters that she even thought about suicide right after they went missing. NOW, Australian artist Natascha Stellmach, says that she has "come across" the ashes and will use them in an art exhibit. Asked how she got the ashes she said: "That is confidential, and kind of magic. I have them now. And I will be setting him free." Stellmach is having an art exhibition at the Berlin Wagner Partner gallery. She plans to (get this) roll his ashes into rolling paper and smoke them live onstage. THIS IS SACRILEGE. These ashes were stolen from his wife .. and some bitch is going to smoke them?! No word yet from Courtney's camp .. but don't be surprised if this bitch winds up dead.

Leave Amy Alone!

Keane's lead singer, Richard Hughes, took some time out to discuss Amy Winehouse in an interview this week about the bands new album.

"I feel totally sorry for her. I wish people would leave her alone. I don't understand why it is interesting. She is a genius, mark my words, her songs will hold the test of time and will be considered classics in forty or fifty years. She is a sweet girl. She will get through this. In two years time she'll come back with another amazing record and I can't wait to hear it because I love the last two. "Frank" was a brilliant jazz record, and "Back to Black" is the best damn album period. People need to back off."

Palin Uses F Word

Sarah Palin has somehow made me hate her more than I did before. In her latest interview with Katie Couric she has called herself a feminist. WHAT THE HELL?! Maybe I should explain to her what a feminist is. A feminist would NEVER cut funding on unwed teenage mothers, a feminist would NEVER vote against womens rights, a feminist would NEVER try to overturn Roe V. Wade in the national consitution. A feminist would vote for Gay and Lesbian rights, not consistantly against it. This woman is a bitch, a liar, and a fool. Tune in tomorrow night to watch her spew more bile.

Girls Down the Street

Well it wasn't just a rumor all along. Hugh Hefner and his three girls next door, are over. Kendra is dating a football star, Holly is seeing a magician, and Bridgette is "moving forward". Hugh finally admitted it saying yesterday that his relationships were: "in transition". Kendra did an interview and stated: "There's a lot of changes going on in the mansion. People are moving on to other things. I'm moving on, theres rumors of Holly moving on .. its all very sad." However Kendra did admit: "Hugh is doing okay though, as we leave the mansion he has other girlfriends to keep him happy."

The whole crew will be back together for one last season of girls next door, and then calling its quits altogether.
Well it was fun while it lasted.

Things get Harry on Broadway

Daniel Radcliff, the once adorable Harry Potter now the HOT AS HELL star of Equus, has begun his Broadway run of the show that sold in droves in England. And unfortunately its not a big hit here. Sadly, more people are showing up to see Katie Holme's Broadway debut in "All My Sons". Equus is selling about 65% capacity, and Katie's show is selling around 90% capacity. Thats sad. If I had the money I'd go see Daniel, and not just to see his pee pee.

More Brit Scandals

Britney Spears seems to be on an upclimb in her career. She won 3 VMA's, she released her first single from her new album (the single is Womanizer, the album will be called Circus), which is climbing up digital charts. She yesterday told reporters she will be taking her new album on the road, doing a massive tour! However, her past is catching up to her today. Adnan Ghalib, that horrible boyfriend/paparrazzi Britney had during her crazy times, claims to have a sex tape and he's putting it on the market. He says its a 2 hour sex tape with him and Britney, and YES, she is wearing the pink wig. Allegedly a porn site has offered him 10 million dollars. What a jerk.

Why Sharon lost custody

Before I report this, I will stand by the fact that I love Sharon Stone as an actress. In Casino, she turns in one of my favorite performances by an actress ever. In Basic Instinct she is sexier than ever, and in the Muse she is hysterical. HOWEVER, I think she may have some troubles mentally. The reason that she "lost" custody of her son Roan have now been released in court documents. Apparently Miss Stone (Golden Glober winner and Oscar nominee) tried to get her 6 year olds sons feet botoxed. Why? Because they smelt really bad. Ouch. What the hell?
